The Hotel's 950 guest rooms have been updated with new technology and the comforts of modern-life while preserving the historic integrity of the Hotel.The Boardroom has a permanent board table with seating for up to 12 people in comfortable leather executive chairs. The windows offer natural light and a rejuvinating change of scenery during breaks. The room will be preset with iced water, glasses, pads and pens and hard candy at each place setting to help attendees through the long hours of their meeting. The Cabot room, located across the hallway from the Boardroom, is where the attendees will have their lunch. A chance to stretch their legs and change rooms usually proves to be a benefit.
Green Sustainability
The Boston Park Plaza is a TripAdvisor Green Leader. The hotel utilizes a bi-fuel converter, allowing the most efficient natural resources to be purchased for hotel energy. Employees are extensively trained on ways in which they can help with conservation. The hotel composts biodegradable organic food waste, recycles all kitchen oils, and uses bulk dispensers & reusable containers for beverages, food and condiments. The hotel also uses reusable serving utensils, napkins and tablecloths. A green roof was installed on the building to decrease heating and cooling costs and to help maximize energy efficiency. The hotel uses a state of the art energy management system that detects when a guest room or public meeting room is vacant. The system turns off the heating and/or air conditioning and resets back to room temperature. Compact florescent bulbs have been installed in all guest rooms; these use less power and last longer than regular light bulbs. Guests have the option to reuse their linen and towels in order to conserve natural resources. In an effort to save paper, the hotel employs a paperless check-in/check-out policy. The hotel is located one block from both subway and bus transportation and is within walking distance of many restaurants, shops and attractions. This eliminates the need to drive. The hotel recycles cardboard, paper, aluminum, tin and plastic, and purchases recycled and recyclable products. The laundry department employs a water reuse system which allows water to be cleaned and used three times before being deposited.
