I understand that it was Mardi Gras and I had to make a last minute reservation due to an emergency, but for $500+ you could have put double ply toilet paper in the bathroom. The desk lamp didn't work and the cheapest plastic desk chair was a joke. I wouldn't stay here again.

Galveston Island is accessible from Houston Hobby or Houston George W. Bush Intercontinental. Hobby is located approximately 45 minutes south of Galveston and IAH is approximately 60 minutes south. The hotel does not offer transportation to and from the airport. A taxi or Super Shuttle would be the best option.
