The room was nice. The hotel rep was courteous and professional.
In the beginning, we attempted to make a reservation at this site by using a number that we thought would connect us directly to the hotel since we despise dealing with reservation services. We were then connected to just such a service. Although the south east Asian person was very polite and attempted to be helpful in the end, they were not. The room that we requested and thought we had reserved was not available The process took at least 20 minutes Very difficult to understand the person. We had to have them repeat things over and over again. The icing on the cake, though, was receiving a charge for the service of about $20. The worst $20 we have ever spent. As I said, although the room we thought we had reserved was not available, the staff was very helpful in finding us a room that was suitable., Although not ideal. We had requested a walk in shower, which was not available. Fortunately, the height of the tub was such that we could safely step into it while steadying ourselves on multiple handholds that were very useful. The hotel had obviously been renovated recently and was as nice as any Hampton Inn we have ever stayed in. One last difficulty was adjusting the water in the shower. The controls were not easily understood and the hot water was scalding. I did mention this to the desk as we were leaving and they assured me they would check that. I estimated the temperature of the water to be 140 to 150°F which I believe would result in a burn if you were trapped under that water for any period of time. I will mention one other matter which I have mentioned many times on these reviews.It astounds me that more breakfast hot choices are not available. It is always the same food over and over again. No new dishes no new recipes, etc. The standard things are fine, but the hot food is always a disappointment.
