We have stayed her for many years. The recent renovations were needed and very nice. Staff has always been friendly. The only drawback is the avaialable parking. Right now you can use the lot beside of the hotel, however we were told that won't be there permanently as that property has been sold and something will eventually be built there. My hope would be that they would acquire some parking next to the hotel because otherwise you have to park across the street behind other houses or across Coastal highway. Not an ideal situation. Also we always visit in October and the pool was open this year, however it is not heated. I would like to see the outdoor pool heated just enough so that you could use the pool without freezing!

Hello and Welcome,The Commander Hotel has been here on this same site since the 1930’s! Still proudly owned and operated by the original family! Our boardwalk/beachfront location creates easy access for fun and convenient things to do for both groups and families alike. In addition to that we also offer an authentic, and independent hotel experience rich with history onsite. Our history ties in incredibly well with our historic downtown boardwalk area we conveniently front on!! The Commander Hotel is seen as such an integral part of the fabric of our downtown historic district that we have an entire panel dedicated to our Hotels history in the popular Ocean City museum, located at the end of the boardwalk. Our staff is incredible! Without our great longstanding team we would not have lasted this long. Lastly, and I cannot stress this enough our newly renovated interior spaces in both buildings combined with the above information makes us a peerless hotel experience in the Ocean City market for you and your family or your group.
