Like Coming Home. My husband and I have been staying at Refuge Inn since 1992. Some years only once other years four times within the year. We have brought my Mom, his children and families as well as friends. All ages love the location and especially having the ponies on property. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast is included and now delivered to your room at your requested time. You can go to a hotel that is part of a major chain but you would miss the experience of this gem. I will continue to stay here as long as I travel to Chincoteague!
This was our first visit to Chincoteague. What a wonderful visit! Refuge Inn made our stay even better. From the welcoming check in process with Gracie, to our room being ready early at 1pm, to the comfort and decor of the room, the lovely patio, the delivered to your door breakfast included each morning, to the Pony pen view out of the window, to the ease of bike rental and beach access, the maps and dinner suggestions, this place was perfect and we can't wait to return! Thank you for a beautiful fall getaway!
My wife and I stayed at Refuge Inn for five nights. This place has great friendly vibe, great service, friendly kind staffs and fantastic clean swimming pool. We will be definitely coming back to this hotel without a doubt in the near future.

What a peaceful, charming, comfortable inn. Very comfortable, clean and the bayberry soap is the icing on the cake. Friendly staff. Fun to look out our sliding door and see the ponies! Love the coffee and tea availability all day. Beautiful Audubon prints all around. Classy decor.
Well appointed reception and rooms, with thoughtful drink bar and botanical classic wall art. Hot in room breakfast carefully delivered. Gentle careful managed respite.
